When taking videos, face tracking was very efficient, keeping moving subjects’ faces in focus. While the S23 Ultra managed to keep the scene’s natural color atmosphere, skin tones were sometimes rendered inaccurate. Exposure in photo was generally well managed, except when it came to challenging backlit situations, where low contrast gave faces an unnatural appearance. In low-light situations, however, our engineers observed a slight delay between the moment the shutter was triggered and the actual capture. The device’s autofocus was very performant, managing to capture the decisive moment both in indoor and outdoor conditions. The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is very capable of taking good quality portrait photos and videos in most lighting conditions. It is computed from data recorded during Photo, Zoom and Video tests that include people and moving subjects, a total of 60+ scenes both in the lab and real-life scenes with models. It has been designed to represent the test device’s ability to capture technically good photos and videos in the most common consumer use cases (family, friends, pets). Unlike for previous generations, there is no Exynos-powered version.įriends & Family is a new use case score, introduced with the latest version 5 of the DXOMARK Camera test protocol. The S23 Ultra only comes as a Snapdragon variant. Please note that all comparisons with the S22 Ultra in this review were made with the Snapdragon version of that device. Compared to the predecessor S22 Ultra, the Samsung engineers managed to achieve improvements in several areas, including video stabilization, slightly better zoom, noticeably better video exposure, and improved autofocus speed in bright light. White balance in low light left some room for improvement, though. However, despite the sophisticated tele hardware, overall zoom results were slightly below competitors such as the Huawei Mate 50 Pro or Honor Magic 4 Ultimate, which provide more consistent tele zoom quality with only one higher-resolution tele camera module.Įffective stabilization and a fast and accurate autofocus meant that the Galaxy S23 Ultra also did well for video. Tele zoom at very long range was a strength, thanks to Samsung’s dual-tele approach with a dedicated 10x camera. The camera also allows for capture at higher image resolutions. Please note that still-image testing was undertaken at the default 12MP resolution. Still images featured excellent detail in bright light and a fairly wide dynamic range across all light levels. It offered good performance across pretty much all test attributes, without major drawbacks in any area, making it a great smartphone imaging allrounder. With a DXOMARK Camera score of 140, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra achieved a very good result in our camera tests. Occasional underexposure of faces in low-light video.Occasional local loss of detail on faces.

Automatically that makes the descending reticles at 30, 40 and 50 yards. With my TRUGLO Multi-Reticle Crossbow Scope, the scope reticles will conform to 10-yard increments if the center cross-hair is set for 20 yards. The center cross-hair is adjustable for any distance you wish. Specialized crossbow scopes are low power pieces that contain a number of reticles for varying distances. Tip: A crossbows recoil is opposite to that of rifles, it's not recommended to place a rifle scope onto a crossbow. With effective shooting distances under 30 yards with any bow, the need of a scope on a crossbow is often debated. Modern crossbows can have crossbow scopes attached, while compounds rely on multiple adjusting pins. The Ease of Aiming a Crossbow Bear X Speed Crossbow Scope The TrueX nocks ensure consistently accurate flight, while the 4" vanes stabilize the bolts quickly. Tip: The Bear X TrueX Crossbow Bolts boost the performance out of your Bear X crossbows less than 12"W when cocked. Sound familiar? The steps are much like a rifle. And when my quarry does come into shooting range, all I have to do is slide the safety off, aim and pull the trigger. The arrow or bolt is laid securely into position. You get set up in your hunting position the crossbow string is drawn back, sometimes with the use of a cocking device and it's locked into ready position with a safety catch. Unlike a compound bow, a crossbow is preloaded before the potential shot ever transpires. Eliminates Shot Setup, Crossbows are Preloaded If you're finding the same thing to be true, then you might want to consider the switch, as well. But I began to realize that, at least for me, I needed to spend more time than I had with a compound bow. The more you use any weapon on the range, the more you will become comfortable with it, hence more proficient. Like a rifle shooter knows, you must know your weapon's dynamics, controls, safety and limitations. Practice Less With a Crossbow (Sort of)Įven though a crossbow doesn't have as many intricacies as a compound bow, I still have to practice it. The Bear X Constrictor CDX Crossbow Package includes : crossbow, 3 Bear X TrueX bolts, top-mount 5-bolt quiver, illuminated scope, sling, cocking rope, and rail lube/string wax. The X Constrictor has an adjustable cheek pad and 3" of trigger-pull adjustment mean you'll find the precise fit you want, while the anti-dry-fire trigger adds an element of safety. This Crossbow Package boasts a compact design that lets you easily maneuver in tight spaces to get the perfect shot! Measuring just 14" uncocked. Tip: the Bear X Constrictor CDX Crossbow is perfect for hunting out of a treestand or a ground blind. And, though I hate to admit it, perhaps my old body just can't handle the strengths required to pull a compound anymore. Bear X Constrictor CDX Crossbow PackageĪ crossbow is more like shooting a rifle, which I'm more comfortable with, in that it's already locked and loaded - only leaving me little to do other than aim and pull the trigger. It still gives me a different hunting experience, but comes to me more naturally than a bow. That's why I eventually decided to put down the compound bow and pick up a crossbow. I admit I don't have as much time to practice with the compound bow. Perhaps I didn't have enough practice? Likely so. Sitting with my compound bow in a treestand, a pair of fine bucks appear in front of me. Each coupon code limited to one use per customer, one code per checkout. This will discharge the battery a little. But: once your Macbook starts working hard, it may draw more than 30W power from the charger, so when you use the 30W charger, the battery must jump back in and charger and battery work in tandem to provide adequate energy to the macbook. Why? The sailing mode cuts the energy flow to the battery, so at first glance it won't make much of a difference what charger you use. I am now using a 30W MacBook Air 2020 M1 charger which may take over two hours to get from 20% to 80%, but the slower pace doesn't scare the heck out of your battery cells.Īdditionally, if you use AlDente Pro sailing mode:Īfter the battery has been charged to 80% (or whatever limit you desire), unplug the 30W charger and plug in the 140W charger. The 140W charger that comes with the M1 Max turbo charges your battery in a very short time, which is harmful to the battery. I started using AlDente Pro two weeks ago and I have only had one cycle since.Īlso, I would recommend grabbing a lower power charger for a heavy duty macbook pro like the M1 Max I have, if you have one lying around. I have been using aldente (free version) on my 16" M1 Max for a year now and the battery health is 100% according to Apple (Ventura battery settings), but 98% according to Coconutbattery Plus. My Late 2013 battery lasted around 1000-1100 cycles and the replacement battery is now at 924. After a day of desk work your battery will drain and will need to be recharged, resulting in another cycle and one tiny step closer to death. If you would simply unplug the charger at 80% manually, the battery will start discharging. So the battery is effectively disengaged and the macbook is running on AC power as long as it's connected. Sailing mode stops the energy flow from charger to battery but it maintains the energy flow from charger to the macbook. You might think "Well I do the same thing, I just unplug the charger manually at 80%". What it does is stop charging the battery once the charge limit (e.g. You might grasp (took me some time) the concept after the third read. Just read the blog on apphousekitchen and then let it sink in. Click to expand.Yes it's a feature called sailing mode. Shipping outīefore I could start my saga, however, I needed to make money and purchase some basic supplies. If I wasn't eager to read along, One Small Favor would have bored me to tears, but I was always looking forward to my next opportunity to be a smartass. " Oh let me guess," my avatar hissed as the umpteenth NPC stammered something about a missing whatchamacallit. This continues until you have a laundry list of favors to cash in, and after the fifth or sixth request, your character is absolutely fuming. One of my favorite quests is One Small Favor, which is basically a string of fetch quests during which every person you ask to help with something in turn asks you to help with something else. After an immortal gypsy explained that the whole universe would implode if I didn't complete a quest, my character exclaimed "Not the whole universe! That's where I keep my stuff!" If you mess up a conversation you can just try it again, so I said every line available whenever possible just to watch different conversations play out. It's funny seeing your avatar react wildly when you choose a relatively tame dialogue option. I especially love the way quests write your character. In one day, I helped King Arthur and his knights (who were on holiday in RuneScape) recover the holy grail, infiltrated a monkey kingdom by disguising myself as a gorilla, and helped bickering goblin leaders pick out a new wardrobe for their tribe. It's got a wonderful, dry British humor to it, and it's not afraid to be silly. I'm glad I did, because RuneScape is a very funny game. I remember idly spam-clicking my way through quests as a teenager, but I made sure to read all the dialogue this time around. Recipe for Disaster is about rescuing committee members from the Culinaromancer, a powerful food wizard, by feeding them their preferred dish. In another, I uncovered a fraudulent plague that a king had used to quarantine half his kingdom in order to cover up some demonic dealings. In one quest, by constructing a research tower I unwittingly helped a bunch of researchers create a homunculus, and then I had to calm the confused, malformed being I'd helped create. They're loaded with branching dialogue, unique puzzles and endearingly janky cutscenes. RuneScape's quests aren't disposable tasks like the fetch quests you pick up from random NPCs in many MMOs-at least, most of them aren't. Instead, its world is fleshed out through quests which are structured like short stories. There's no defined campaign or main storyline in RuneScape. I was always looking forward to my next opportunity to be a smartass. For new players, it's also the best way to learn how RuneScape handles quests. To do this, I'd have to complete dozens of other quests and train multiple skills to decent levels, making it a great way to see a lot of the game in a short time. I went into Old School with a clear short-term goal in mind: complete Recipe for Disaster, RuneScape's most difficult and famous quest. That said, Old School could still stand to guide new players a bit better, because it's totally unlike other MMOs. So, the threadbare tutorial is more than enough for people who've played RuneScape before (like myself). Nearly 500,000 people said yes, and Old School RuneScape was born. But after a major update totally overhauled RuneScape and turned it into what is now colloquially known as RuneScape 3, Jagex ran a poll to see if players wanted independent servers where they could play RuneScape as it was back in the day. A decade ago, there was no Old School RuneScape. Part of the reason Old School RuneScape is so bad at explaining itself comes down to its heritage. But if you're willing to push through the harsh learning curve, and if you find RuneScape's freewheeling sense of adventure liberating rather than overwhelming, you may well find your forever game. It's the kind of game where you have to bookmark the wiki before you can get anywhere. You go through a five-minute tutorial which teaches you the absolute bare minimum and then you're unceremoniously dropped into the hometown of Lumbridge. It's a sandbox MMORPG that's deliberately grindy and intimidatingly hands-off. That last bit is where Old School RuneScape starts. Most MMOs lead you on a campaign that introduces the most important characters, areas and activities, and only then do they take the leash off and tell you to do whatever you want. The median PFS and OS of the PM group were 10.0 and 30.0 months, respectively. The data come from Merck’s Keynote-024 trial, which nabbed Keytruda a solo nod in first-line NSCLC just a couple weeks after the New Jersey drugmaker presented results at ESMO’s 2016 confab. Keep an eye on your stamina bar at all times. If you push your Nexomon to their limits, always making use of their strongest abilities, it won’t be long before they’re too out of puff to continue. Much like its rival, Temtem, Nexomon: Extinction features a stamina system. So, if you want to have an easy time capturing Nexomon, you’ll need to buy a good variety of food items and lug around half a banquet in your inventory. Understandably, a ravenous Nexomon is less likely to join you than one you’ve just given a tasty treat to. Each creature has a selection of foodstuffs that it prefers, and using one of these food items dramatically increases your capture chance. While weakening a Nexomon is pretty important, there are other strategies you’ll need to be aware of.įood is by far the most important of these. Soften your target up with some attacks, apply a status effect, and chuck a NexoTrap, right? In fact, it’s a little more complex than that. You might think you know what you’re doing when it comes to capturing your first few wild Nexomon. You’d arguably be better off picking one of the other seven, even if either of these are your fave! Use food when capturing Nexomon It is worth mentioning, however, that although the Nexopedia lists them as ‘ultra-rare’, the normal-type starter Dinja and the electric-type starter Gekoko can be found in the wild in the very first zone. Should you really want the best type coverage right off the bat, the most common elements at the very start of the game are normal, electric, plant and wind, while ghost and psychic Nexomon seem a little rarer. It feels pretty daunting to pick just one companion out of so many at this early stage, especially considering how little information you have to go off.įortunately, at least one Nexomon of each element can be found early on, so you won’t be missing out on much if you simply select the design you find most appealing. Right at the beginning of Nexomon: Extinction, you’re faced with nine Nexomon to choose between, all of different types. I'm at the jungle so I haven't experienced the full game just yet as I've been grinding to level up.I’ve been getting to grips with Nexomon: Extinction over the last few days and have put together this list of tips to help you through your first hours with the game. I have 5 Ultra Rare Starters (F2P no gems) i will let you guys know when I come across any others, if anyone has any other starter locations feel free to add. Petril's on the slow side but definitely a step up when compared to other plant types. I caught Petril (Grass starter) in the hidden jungle where there's a nurse around to keep healing you and a portable shop, Petril has already spawned for me 3 times, I caught him on the 2nd throw & he was rather easy to catch now all I need is the fire starter & he'll round out my full Ultra Rare Team lineup. The water nexomon don't spawn on the opposite side so don't bother just keep grinding the grass leveling your nexo and waiting for bevy to appear. He's located in the first area of the jungle to the left in the grass that's closest to the water. He was definitely the hardest to catch and he packs a serious punch so well worth it & the best water type I've come across knowing what I know about the first 4 starters I'd choose bevy first. I caught Bevy (Water Type Starter) at level 28 it took me exactly 20 throws and a lot of patience. He was the easiest to catch for me, I got his health in the red then spammed Sleep & caught him on the 3rd throw. Note** he'll pop up pretty much anywhere I've had him spawn in the lava and rock areas again if you're just starting out don't choose him first as he's easy to find*īlizo (Rock Type), this guy was actually the nexo starter I wanted to pick but I went with more speed, I found him just outside the first cave you have to go through (after fighting the first overseer) in the grass. Vulazy was the most common starter I've found throughout the game, for me I pulled him in a nexo box and sadly shortly after he appeared in the grass area where the nurse is multiple times at the beginning of the game, so if you have to choose a starter, there's no point in choosing him, just grind it out where the nurse is at he'll pop up just make sure you have enough catching items. Hey guys I'm gonna start pinpointing starter locations, I picked the Electric type Velokitti to start, he's solid, he's just lacking defense and health for me had I known that going in I would have chosen somebody else. This is the base for all Spanish verb conjugation. I’ve limited the selection to simple tenses in the indicative mood for beginning Spanish learners. Spanish Regular Conjugationsīelow, the charts show the patterns for each of the three conjugation classes. Here’s where all the juicy details come into the picture. How do you conjugate verbs step by step?Ĭonjugation is all about the stem and the ending combinations: Then we get into the other moods of the subjunctive (feelings and opinions) and imperative (commands). Here are some useful conjugation grammar terms translated into Spanish:īy default we begin with the statement of facts, the indicative mood learning each of the tenses. They share the same class patterns however, the differences are found in the spelling of the root.Īs I explained above, the conjugation patterns hold key information about mood, time, and subject. We’ve got the regular verbs and the irregular verbs. Spanish Verb ConjugationĪs in most things, there are the rules and then the exceptions to the rules. There are only three conjugation class (bunch) patterns. For example, “vivo” is a word used to describe something as being alive.įor a visual of the conjugation concept, a single verb stem (vine) connects to the endings (a bunch of grapes).
